We maken een rondje langs alle hoogtepunten van West - Amerika.<br />Eerst acclimatiseren in <strong>San Francisco</strong>, van daaruit gaan we naar Salinas en <strong>Monterey</strong>: Steinbeck country! We hopen er ook walvissen, orka's, dolfijnen en meer schoons te spotten. Daarna volgen we de kust langs Highway 1 door het <strong>Big Sur</strong> natuurgebied tot in <strong>Morro Bay</strong>.<br />Dan trekken we naar <strong>Sequoia National Park</strong> om de grote oude reuzen te bewonderen. De volgende stop is Sin City <strong>Las Vegas</strong>, baby! Als we genoeg hebben van de decadentie gaan we naar de <strong>Grand Canyon</strong>, en via <strong>Page</strong> naar <strong>Monument Valley</strong> ( Marlboro Country). Dat brengt ons in Utah waar we nog een paar grote natuurparken gaan bezoeken: <strong>Capitol Reef</strong>, <strong>Bryce</strong> en <strong>Zion. </strong><br />As seen on Top Gear, trekken we dan dwars door Nevada via <strong>Highway 50</strong>, the loneliest road in America.
